Get a daily check-in call

Would you or someone you love benefit from a daily check-in call while recovering from an illness or injury at home? Sign up for Telecare, a free service from volunteers at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.

Who can receive Telecare?

You can request Telecare for yourself or a family member with their permission. This confidential service is available to anyone who:

  • Lives on the Monterey Peninsula, whether or not they're a Community Hospital or Montage Health patient
  • Lives alone, is elderly, or is housebound (unable to leave or has trouble leaving the house)
  • Is recovering from an illness or injury

How does it work?

Telecare provides peace of mind — a phone call every morning from a friendly member of our volunteer Auxiliary to chat and see how you're feeling. If we're not able to reach you, we'll make a second call to someone chosen by you (preferably someone who lives nearby) and ask them to check on you.

Cancel a check-in call

If there's a day you don't need a call or know you won't be available to answer, let us know by calling (831) 625-4557 and leaving a message on the Telecare voicemail, 24 hours a day.
